We are the lucky people who work in the Wildlife Genetics and Microscopy Unit in the Australian Centre for Wildlife Genomics. Our research expertise is applied both across the Australian Museum and also to government and industry stakeholders.

Current Genetics Unit Staff:

  • Dr Rebecca Johnson Manager - Wildlife Genetics and Microscopy Unit
Rebecca manages the Wildllife Genetics and Microscopy unit - and also is the Head of the Australian Centre for Wildlife Genomics. She has come closer to bees than most of us, and has a soft spot for sharks and identifying aviation wildlife strike victims!
  • Sue Lindsay Manager - Microscopy & Microanalysis Laboratory
Sue is the manager of the Microscopy and Microanalysis Laboratory at the Australian Museum.
  • Andrew King Technical Officer - Wildlife Genetics and Microscopy
Andrew has seen them all: From viruses to isopods, from termites to birds. And he still gets a kick out of discovering something new about the natural world.

  • Dr Melissa Danks Technical Officer - Wildlife Genetics and Microscopy

  • Greta Frankham Technical Officer - Wildlife Genetics and Microscopy

  • Scott Ginn Technical Officer - Frozen Tissue Collection
