The Australian Museum is celebrating 50 years of Museum in a Box and we want to hear your stories.

The Museum in a Box® program has reached over 1 Million students across NSW in the last 50 years. Museum in a Box® started off with specimens in small cardboard boxes and has grown to include 150 large boxes covering 30 different topics. The program has also grown beyond schools to include preschools, councils, libraries, universities, regional museum and age care facilities .The specimens and activities continue to highlight the Australian Museum collections and research by providing hands on resources.

Over the last 50 years hundreds of schools, thousands of teachers and over a million students have use Museum in a Box® as a learning and teaching resource.
