Join Sydney-based D'harawal Saltwater Knowledge Keeper and artist, Shannon Foster, and learn how to weave a basket using local grasses. Gain an understanding of the social, cultural and ecological information embedded in Aboriginal weaving techniques that have been passed down for hundreds of generations.

These unique workshops provide participants an opportunity to also learn how to sustainably collect local grasses, such as lomandra, local grass ecological knowledge and how to process the grass effectively for weaving.

Ticket includes general admission to the museum. Recommended for adults and youth aged 14+. Open to beginners, intermediate and master weavers.

Includes a 30 minute break for lunch – bring your own lunch, or purchase from No. 1 William on Level 4.
