Now in its fourth year, the Australian Museum, Museum of Applied Arts & Sciences, Sydney Observatory and the Museum Discovery Centre are opening their doors for adults and kids to explore free of charge!

If you haven’t visited for a while, you’ll be amazed by the Australian Museum’s newly-refurbished Westpac Long Gallery with the jaw-dropping exhibition 200 Treasures of the Australian Museum.

This weekend is your last chance to experience GADI. This unique exhibition explores the rich and intricate history of the Gadigal people, their culture and language, as well as their knowledge of botany, stonework and watercraft.

And you’ll be free to wander through museum favourites Wild Planet, Minerals and Surviving Australia, and get hands-on in Search & Discover and Kidspace.

Entry to Mammoths – Giants of the Ice Age is the special discounted price of $10 for adults and $5 for kids.

Please note that Dinosaurs is partially closed due to renovations.

Pram parking

Strollers, prams and children's scooters must be parked in our free stroller cloaking in the Garden area on William Street.

Accessibility

This visit involves the use of stairs to move throughout the museum spaces and between floors. Lift access is available for visitors with accessibility needs.
