I am the manager of the Microscopy and Microanalysis Laboratory at the Australian Museum. I have been working at the Australian Museum for 18 years and the M&M Lab manager for 13 years.
In my position as Lab manager I am involved in a whole range of research, educational and exhibition projects within the Australian Museum.
The Australian Museum Microscopy and Microanalysis Unit is involved in a wide range of scientific research both within the Australian Museum, with outside institutions and other government agencies.
The Microscopy and Microanalysis Unit sits within the Cultural Heritage and Scientific Initiatives (CHSI) Branch and interacts will all other sections of the Museum and provides microscopy imaging and microanalysis services and facilities to Australian Museum research staff, collections staff, CHSI staff, postdocs, students, visiting researchers, AM research fellows, external government agencies and other external groups and a wide variety of external organizations and individuals.
The Microscopy and Microanalysis Unit provides light photomicrographs and Scanning Electron Micrographs to the Australian Museum Public programs, education, exhibition and commercial services.
I hold a BSc degree majoring in Taxonomic Botany and Invertebrate Zoology at University of New England 1989.
