During his time as an Australian Museum entomologist, Anthony Musgrave undertook many field trips around Australia including to Hobart, Kosciusko, Lord Howe Island, the Nepean River and Moree. He oftentimes travelled with fellow museum scientists and kept detailed field notes recounting their movements. These photos and field notes give us a unique insight into what the life and practice of early 20th century scientists was like.
